Up the hill: Michelle's AT journey

At Indigo, we love helping our clients achieve their goals and dreams, so when nature-loving Michelle came to us three years ago, our staff were eager to help her find the right tech and get her up in the hills.

Indigo OT Evana worked with Michelle and helped her to find, test, and choose the AT that would work for her and help her achieve her goals - and now she loves being able to explore nature!

Meet the Team: Simone Collins

Making sure that our geat2GO clients receive the right assistive technology for them is an important job, and one that Simone is very passionate about!

Simone is the Allied Health Lead for Assistive Technology, as part of our Clinical Excellence team - which means that she supports her team of OT's to provide clients and other allied health professionals with information, advice, and prescriptions for AT, ensuring that they are suitable, safe, and effective.

geat2GO heads to Sydney

Our team is growing!

Indigo's geat2GO team went to Sydney this month to welcome and train new customer service representatives for our regional offices.

geat2GO provides assistive technology to older people across the country, with 90% of orders received from Queensland, NSW, and Victoria - Sydney is our first in focus and we look forward to welcoming more team members soon.

Out and about at Telethon and Source Kids Expos

We've been busy out in the community lately, attending both the Telethon Family Festival and the Source Kids Disability Expo.

At Telethon, we met with families and helped them engage with our different AAC and EyeGaze options, and encouraged kids to explore alternate accessibility with switch access toys.

At Source Kids, we loved interacting with families of neurodivergent kids, and introducing them to our sensory tools and products.

What's happening at iLA

It can be hard accepting changes in mobility and using assistive technology - sometimes we worry about what others will think, or it challenges our perception of who we are.

However, once we 'lean in' to AT, it can be a game changer! As Polly shares in AT Chat's latest article, 'A very stylish couple', fun and freedom perfectly captures the benefits of using the right piece of AT.

KeepAble is excited to announce that they are planning to host a national online forum in March 2024, to bring together CHSP providers and to showcase best practices and support information sharing in wellness and reablement.

To ensure that the forum meets the needs of providers and is of most value, they invite you to take part in this short survey. Your answers will be kept completely confidential. They appreciate your feedback.
